At the Root of all Vinyasa Krama practice is balance, it is central to all Yoga theory.
The whole process transforms the person from gross to the subtlest level of consciousness and to an intimate level of self-expression.
When the breath is under full control, then the mind follows the body.
To be fully human means to balance between heaven (top of skull) and earth (pelvic floor).
TALASANA CLASS SERIES:
Tala is a Sanskrit term for the palm tree. The PALM TREE has the ability to face the most adverse weather conditions like storms and blowing winds, and because of its extensive root base and flexibility, it survives.
The tree bends in the direction of the wind and doesn't oppose it. It stands up right once the storm is over. In human life, we also have many ups and downs. If one becomes flexible then it's easy to tackle the situations.
CLASS STRUCTURE:
Breath, all major joint groups, and repose.
Class 1: Ujjayi + Balance - A four part deep throated breath used to power the movements and build pranic force to all limbs and cells of the body. Two Feet Touching or Samasthiti is considered the blueprint for all standing postures. It initiates sensory input for all musculoskeletal activity.
Class 2: Shoulders - Stabilizing, balancing, and releasing blocked parts of the shoulder girdles and arms.
Class 3: Spine - Spiraling, strengthening, lengthening, and aligning of paraspinal muscles deeply calibrating the central nervous system.
Class 4: Hips - Rotation of hips within their sockets through half squats and full squats. Strengthening the quads and toning the pelvic girdle.
Class 5: Knees - Developing the cruciatus muscles protecting the knee joints and knee caps, stabilizing torso, legs and ankles.
Class 6: Ankles - The last major joint group applied to develop femoral channels of the inner groins used to establish stability, balance, and focus.
Class 7: Shavasana - The inner journey. A supine posture that allows witnessing of the pranic energies gathered throughout the talasana sequenced set.
